Staring at the positive test, I couldn't help but reflect on how I ended up here. My old self, Andrew, had just received a generous severance package when his job started downsizing. Deciding to take some extra time off, I sank into the couch, savoring the break. During this period of lounging, I came across a pill that promised a temporary transformation into a female. The idea of experiencing life from a different perspective for three weeks was too tempting to pass up.
Without much hesitation, I ordered the pills and, once they arrived, skimmed the instructions quickly. Ignoring the finer details, I swallowed one with a gulp of water. Hours later, my body began to churn and shift. The once 6'2", heavyset man was now a petite 5'4" woman. I marveled at my new form, unable to tear my eyes away from the mirror. My new curves, softer skin, and delicate features were thrilling, and I felt an irresistible urge to show off.
I rifled through some of my ex’s old clothes and headed to a local café. The thrill of catching the eyes of several men as I walked down the busy street was surprisingly exciting. Inside the café, I ordered a coffee and took a seat, basking in the attention.
That’s when Ted, a friend I hadn’t seen in a while, approached me. He didn’t seem to recognize me in my new female form. Instead of revealing myself, I let him continue his flirtatious attempts. Despite his awkwardness, I found myself thinking Ted was…cute? I questioned why I was feeling this way about my friend. With a mix of curiosity and excitement, I introduced myself as Anne, Andrew’s cousin.
Ted grew more animated and charming as we talked, and by the end of our conversation, he asked me out on a date. I agreed, intrigued by where this could lead. He said he’d pick me up at 7 the following evening, and we parted ways.
Fast forward seven months. The date with Ted had gone incredibly well—too well. The night turned steamy, and our texting turned into a daily ritual. I eventually discovered I was pregnant, and despite my initial concerns, Anne was here to stay for the long haul.
Now, as I sit here, seven months pregnant, I’m on a babymoon with Ted. My once slim figure has transformed into a fuller, rounder shape. My baby bump is now prominently visible, a testament to the life growing inside me. The gentle curve of my belly feels both surreal and wonderful, especially as it grows more pronounced with each passing day. I’ve been embracing the changes, reveling in the softness and the new sensations that come with carrying a child. Ted has been incredibly supportive, attending every appointment and sharing in the excitement and nervousness of impending parenthood.
Our babymoon has been a time for relaxation and reflection. We’ve been savoring quiet moments together, exploring serene spots, and preparing ourselves for the arrival of our little one. As I rub my rounded belly, I can’t help but feel grateful for the unexpected journey that led me here. This new chapter, though unplanned, has been filled with joy, anticipation, and a deep sense of connection with Ted and our growing family.
